gagging, food refusal, small food repertoire, difficulty with mealtime routines
Chewing skills - safe mealtimes and decrease coughing/choking at mealtimes.
Cup/straw drinking
Transitioning to oral feedings from tube feeding.
Speech & Language Therapy
Includes concerns with:
Articulation: Difficulty with saying certain sounds or words
Motor and coordination skills of the lips and tongue are involved.
Phonology: Difficulty with patterns of sounds.
For example: omitting the ending sounds in words (saying “do" for “dog”).
Receptive Language: Difficulty understanding words and language.
Understanding daily routines.
Sequencing ideas/retelling events or stories.
Difficulty with answering questions.
Communicating with peers
Understanding concepts
Expressive Language: Difficulty using words and expressing ideas verbally.
Limited vocabulary
Difficulty putting words together/formulating sentences (grammar)
Telling a story and/or describing
Payment
North Shore Speech and Feeding Therapy currently accepts private pay only. Payment in the form of credit/debit card, cash, and/or check is due at the time of service. Upon request, we can provide you with an itemized superbill. The superbill can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to find out reimbursement eligibility specific to your insurance plan.
